ILSHRM11 Update #1 – Ryan Estis

Just finished listening to Ryan Estis give the opening keynote.  So many great moments…

  • Cash money offered to anyone who could recite their company vision and mission verbatim.  Of the 750 attendees, only three hands went up.  Yikes.
  • A fabulous “Why I Love My Job” from the team at the Mayo Clinic.  They get engagement.
  • Research shows employees are 17 times more engaged when they understand the values and culture of an organization.

We talked about culture, we talked about trust, we talked about passion.  A great sessions led by a great speaker.  If you ever get the chance to see him, take it.  You won’t be disappointed.
