Hey Kids! The Carnival Is Coming To Town!

I’m more than a little pleased to be involved in the Carnival of HR from time to time, and I’m especially excited to get to host this month.

So what shall we talk about?  I’m a big fan of themed shows, but I like them even more when the theme is a bit whimsical.  So, with the blessing of the Minion her own self, I’ve some up with something that I think will be a bit fun, help us flex our collective writing muscles, and give us a look into the diversity of our little corner of the social media universe.

The plan is to have everyone who would like to partake write a post with a common title, which I’ll share below.  We all write whatever stirs from within, so we get to see how many different approaches one phrase can generate.  I’ll only ask that you hold your post until at least March 27th, so others don’t see it and get their though processes contaminated.

Pretty simple, right?  I hope you find it intriguing enough to be part of show.  I know I’m looking forward to seeing what happens.  As to the collective title, I’ve tried to find a phrase that is neutral enough to mean a lot of things, but not so far out there that it doesn’t inspire anything.  After much thought, I think I’ve found one that will work.

Our collective title for this project will be “Safe at Home.”  If you don’t have a blog of your own, let me know and I will be happy to host your entry on my page.

So who’s game?

  1. Count me in. Good thing I have a few days to do some brainstorming on this topic.

  2. Love the idea, Dwane, and I’m hoping to carve out some time to participate.

  3. Hi Dwayne, I liked this idea! The title required a bit of creative thinking, which I enjoyed, and my post is finished and scheduled!

  4. I thought I might do a “Safe at Home” 1.00 FTE comic and join in the fun (if that’s ok) but since I’m all the way down in Sydney, March 27th (at my normal post time of 5:00am) is about 11 hours away, is that jumping the gun?
